It all started with a accident!
Our founder, Christoph, was innocently browsing food videos on YouTube when he stumbled upon some about fermented hot sauce.
He thought, "How hard can that be?" and embarked on a spicy journey. For a year, he tinkered with recipes, roped in friends and colleagues for taste tests, just for fun and to understand the marvel of fermented hot sauce.
One day, Christoph's hot sauce prowess got him a question from two friends running a taqueria, "Could you make us some for our tacos?" His answer? "Sure, why not? I haven't done that before. Lets try!" The feedback was sizzling hot. Soon, they asked for bottled versions, and his response remained the same, "Sure, why not? I haven't done that before. Lets try!"
And just like that, Glød Hot Sauce was born. More sauces, more fans, and more local outlets craving our handcrafted, fermented goodness.
Now, after crafting hundreds of liters and nearly selling 1,000 bottles in person, we're taking our next spicy step: an online store.
Glød Hot Sauce is all about handcrafted, carefully selected chilies, lovingly fermented and checked daily for absolute perfection. We make small batches, unlike the big commercial guys, we churn out as little as 15 liters per batch. Why? To guarantee quality and perfection, of course.
